I designed the brand identity and marketing site for Holder General Engineering, a general engineering and heavy-civil contractor in Carlsbad, California. The site launches soon.
The goal was a confident, industrial brand that signals reliability and scale, and a homepage that turns project owners and contractors into estimate requests.

Holder General Engineering is a general engineering contractor working in site development and heavy civil: grading, underground utilities, concrete, and the groundwork that larger projects are built on. They needed a brand and a website that could stand next to bigger, established firms and win the trust of project owners, developers, and general contractors.
The brief was simple to say and hard to earn: look established. The work happens on job sites, but the first impression happens on a phone, often while someone is deciding who to call for an estimate. The brand had to feel as solid as the work.
Industrial, confident, and legible at a glance, on a hard hat or a handset.
The system is built on a heavy, industrial wordmark, a grounded navy, and a high-visibility amber pulled straight from the safety vocabulary of a job site. The tagline, "Built Right. Built to Last," does double duty as a promise and a positioning line.

One page with one job: make a stranger comfortable enough to ask for an estimate.
The homepage leads with the work itself: real job-site imagery of cranes, earthmovers, and structure going up, with the tagline set large over the top. Trust signals sit where people look for them. A slim contact bar puts the phone number, email, and Carlsbad address in reach from the first scroll, and a standing "Get a Project Estimate" button follows down the page.
The layout is designed mobile-first, because a lot of this audience is deciding who to call from a truck. The same hierarchy holds from desktop to phone: brand, promise, proof, and a clear next step.
The brand and the homepage are designed, and the site is in build for launch. Next up: the interior pages (Services, Projects, and About), a project gallery that lets the work speak, and the estimate-request flow that turns a visit into a lead.
I'll update this case study with the live site and results once it ships.
